Influencer Marketing and its Importance in Digital Marketing
What do we understand by Influencer Marketing?
You must have seen your favorite YouTuber or an Instagram guru talking about their favorite products they use, what service they take from, what they like and what they suggest us to use? What do you think, what they all are doing? You won’t believe but that is all a part of influencer marketing. Influencer marketing is a type of online marketing that focuses on using key leaders to direct your brand’s message to a larger market. Instead of marketing directly to a large group of consumers, you instead inspire /recruit/pay influencers to put out words for you.
Influencer Marketing almost goes hand in hand with two other forms of online marketing: Social Media Marketing and Content Marketing. Most of the influencer campaigns have some type of social media presence, where influencers are expected to spread the word through their personal social channels. Many influencer campaigns also carry content elements where you create content for influencers, or they create their own content. Although social media and content marketing often fit into an influencer campaign.
But why Influencer Marketing is important?
You know I bought my first L’oreal shampoo after seeing Aishwarya Rai using it, at least on my television screen. The influencer economy has changed the way we buy things – forever. About 67% of marketers say they are engaging in some form of influencer marketing, a number likely to grow as social media influencers gain visibility. In response to growing demand, the economics of influencers are moving more and more towards streamlined solutions, including tools such as influencers networks, matching platform services, and even programming to help brands. Brands that are not part of it lose control. Consumers now control the buyer’s journey and digital advertising is becoming harder to reach:
Let me state a few facts in here
- 90% of Americans ignore digital ads
- 40% of advertising revenue was lost en bloc by Generation Y sites
- $ 7.2 billion in overall losses due to bot fraud in 2016
- 56% of paid digital ad impressions are never seen
- 62% of consumers have less confidence in their brands
Usual digital marketing is no longer working. 66% of customers are overwhelmed by too many online marketing messages and 20% of them would boycott a brand due to excessive advertising. Marketers need to be concerned about the content of influencers as it is the perfect cure for “advertising fatigue” and, unlike traditional advertising campaigns, brings authenticity.
The fact is influencer marketing is not new, it’s in our world for a really long time.
It’s just what we recently have discovered about this term. Since childhood, we are a part of influence marketing, because in simple words when your influencer influences you in any way, and your action and reaction got influenced by it then understand that you are under being a part of influencer marketing.
And if you would like to increase your business with this most useful and essential technique then we are just a call away.
